Began her musical studies in Loulé, as a student of Professor Francisco Rosado. Completed her degree in Recorder at ESML and her Master's degree in performance at Lemmensinstituut – Leuven. She completed her Master's degree in Music Education at ESML.
Performed dozens of concerts in various parts of the country, in various chamber ensembles, and as a soloist with the baroque orchestras Concerto Ibérico and Orquestra D’Aquém Mar. Performed concerts in several European countries, namely Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, and Austria. She recorded an album with the duo Flor de Sal.
Taught at the international Recorder courses in Lyme Regis (United Kingdom), at the I and II Recorder Consort Workshops in Almeida and Seia, and is a founding teacher of the Early Music Summer Camp, integrated into the Castelo Novo Festival. Provided musical direction for the Ao Luar Teatro company.
Won the 1st and 2nd Prizes in International Competitions in Belgium and Germany.
Maintains a regular musical activity in Portugal. Is the Artistic Director of the Encontros de Música Antiga de Loulé Francisco Rosado; vice-president of Flautística – Associação de Flautas de Bisel do Algarve, directs the Ensemble de Flautas de Loulé and teaches Recorder at CML-FR.

She began her musical journey in piano and singing, at the Conservatório Regional de Almada and the Escola de Música do Conservatório Nacional. It was in this context that she had her first contact with the viola da gamba, an instrument that would come to play a central role in her artistic and pedagogical activity.
She holds a degree in Viola da Gamba from the Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo (Porto), in the class of Professor Xurxo Varela, and a postgraduate degree in Advanced Studies in Polyphony from the same institution. She studied at the Hochschule für Künste Bremen (Germany), under the guidance of Professor Hille Perl. Concurrently, she conducts research in the field of historical musicology as part of the Master's in Artistic Studies at the University of Coimbra.
She regularly participates in various early music projects, currently co-director of the ensemble Antiquorum, dedicated to 17th-century Iberian music, and a member of the ensembles Ars Luxurians and Spirito dell’Anima. She was part of the group Camerata 2.6, winner in the Baroque Music Category of the 29th edition of the Prémio Jovens Músicos.
In addition to early music, she is involved in projects in diverse areas, notably the group B’rbicacho, dedicated to traditional Portuguese music. She teaches viola da gamba at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé – Francisco Rosado.

Completed a PhD in Music (Performance) on 2021/06/09 at the University of Aveiro. Additionally, holds a Master's degree (2nd cycle) in Piano Pedagogy from 2016/08/23 from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and a Bachelor's degree (1st cycle) in Instrumental Music - Piano from 2014/05/02 from the same institution.
He published two articles about his doctoral research in the journals Resonancias (Colombia) and El Artista (Mexico), and has a chapter and a recording in Forms of Performance: From J. S. Bach to M. Alunno (1972-) from Vernon Press about the work of Leo Ornstein, among other academic-performative activities in Colombia and Europe.
His doctoral project was highlighted in Inet-MD Newsletter 05.2020. He was elected as a jury member for the Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá in 2022, he was one of the winning soloists of the OSCUN (Universidad Nacional de Colombia) orchestra in 2012, and has been a scholarship recipient on several occasions since 2006, including for the professionalization he is currently pursuing at ESART, in the Master's in Music Education.
He worked as a teacher and accompanying pianist in Colombia and Portugal, with his performance as an accompanist being highlighted in 2013 at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (PFM).
António Hipólito

António Hipólito, organist, harpsichordist, and pianist, obtained a degree in Harpsichord and has demonstrated a continuous interest in instruments from an early age.
He leads a career marked by the performance of works by numerous composers such as J. S. Bach, Manuel Rodrigues de Coelho, Carlos Seixas, João Domingues Bomtempo, François Couperin, J. P. Rameau, Alessandro Scarlatti, G. F. Händel, John Keeble, John Stanley, D. Buxtehude, C. P. E. Bach, among other composers.
He has performed in historical venues such as the Monastery of Sta. Cruz in Coimbra and the Cathedral of Castelo Branco, Águeda, Faro, Lisbon, Bragança, Braga, Aveiro, Idanha-a-Nova, Idanha-a-Velha, Cabeceiras de Basto, Lorvão, Cantanhede, and Italy, Bologna.
Solo concerts and partnerships with INATEL, with the Municipalities of Cantanhede and Cabeceiras de Basto, and with the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco have revealed his dedication to early music.
As a tenor, continuist, and organist, he was a member of the Ançã-ble choir, a founding member of Trio Scherzo, and a harpsichordist in the Orquestra Ibérica da Música Antiga Associação Cultural, an orchestra he accompanied in 2026 in J. S. Bach's St. Matthew Passion.
In 2024, he obtained a Master's degree in Harpsichord Teaching, supervised by Prof. João Janeiro.
He is currently serving as a Piano teacher at the Conservatório Regional do Algarve Maria Campina and as an Accompanist Harpsichordist at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé - Francisco Rosado.

She began her studies at ARTAVE, with Katerina Mikusova. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Cello, with Professor Clélia Vital, and her Master's degree in Music Education, at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa. In 2014 and 2015, she performed as a soloist with the ESML Orchestra.
In 2014, she obtained the 2nd Young Musicians Award in Chamber Music, advanced level, with the AllaBreve Quartet.
At ESML, in chamber music, worked with Irene Lima and Paulo Pacheco. Attended open classes in chamber music with Olga Prats, Artur Pizzaro, and Kyril Zlotnikov.
Had the opportunity to attend cello masterclasses with: Claudio Bohórquez, Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi, Marc Coppey, Daniel Grosgurin, Ferhan Grosgurin, Levon Mouradian, Irene Lima, Filipe Quaresma, Catherine Strynckx, Pietro Serafin, Márcio Carneiro, Stefan Popov, Jed Barahal, Roman Garioud, Paulo Gaio Lima, Jaroslav Mikus.
She collaborated and performed in the country's main venues with the Gulbenkian Orchestra, Algarve Orchestra, Portuguese Symphony Orchestra (TNSC), where she held a temporary tutti contract.
From November 2017 to April 2018, she completed a Performer Diploma, as part of Violoncelos de Santa Cristina, in Santo Tirso, where she worked with Maria Macedo and David Cruz.
Since 2018 and 2019, she has been teaching at the Music Conservatories of Olhão and Loulé.

Born in Porto (1991), Bruno Carneiro began his double bass studies with Joel Azevedo. His foundational academic training culminated in his admission to the Royal College of Music, in Thomas Martin's class. While in England, he was a member of the Britten Pears Orchestra where he distinguished himself as principal double bass in B. Britten's opera “The Turn of The Screw”.
In the realm of solo performance, notable interpretations include “Dark with Excessive Bright” by Missy Mazzoli, under the direction of Bruno Borralhinho with the Orquestra do Algarve, and G. Bottesini’s “Gran Duo Concertante,” with violinist Rómulo Assis and the Orquestra do Norte. In contemporary music, he performed solo John Cage’s “Ryoanji” with the New Perspectives Orchestra, under the direction of Nicholas Collon, and Samantha Fernando’s “Shadows on Shadows” with the Lux Ensemble.
Currently Assistant Principal in the Orquestra do Algarve, he is regularly invited to play with the Aarhus Symfoniorkester (Denmark), Sinfónica da Galiza, Filarmonia das Beiras, Sinfónica do Porto CdM, MusicAeterna (Russia) among others. He was a mentor for the AMCC Double Bass Festival, a jury member for the Ilda Moura Competition, and a section coach for the “OJ”. He currently teaches at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé – Francisco Rosado.

Born in São Paulo, Caio Oshiro completed his Bachelor's degree in Viola Performance at the Faculdade de Artes Santa Marcelina (São Paulo), a Post-graduate degree in Performance (viola variant) at ESART, and a Master's degree in Music Teaching (viola and ensemble class variant) also at ESART in 2017. During this academic path, he was taught by professors Alexandre Razera, Peter Pas, and António Pereira. Throughout his career, he attended masterclasses with professors such as Ori Kam, Kikuei Ikeda, Rainer Moog, Jessica Bodner, Hartmut Rhode, Jennifer Stumm, Cristophe Desjardins, Anabela Chaves, among others.
As a violist, they were a member of several orchestras in Brazil (São Paulo State Youth Orchestra, the USP Chamber Orchestra, and the Experimental Repertoire Orchestra); as well as collaborating with orchestras in Europe such as the Orquestra do Algarve, the Portuguese Chamber Orchestra, and the Franco-German Youth Philharmonic Orchestra. They performed as a chamber musician as a member of the Candle Trio and the Ethos Quartet and, as a soloist, performed with orchestras such as the Porto Seguro Orchestra and the L’Estro Armonico Orchestra. Currently, they teach at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé - Francisco Rosado.
Carlos Ramalho

Born in Crestuma – V.N. de Gaia, he completed his musical studies at the Conservatório de Música do Porto (saxophone class of Prof. Francisco Ferreira) and at the University of Évora (saxophone class of Prof. José Massarrão). He worked with renowned saxophonists such as Claude Delangle, Jean-Yves Fourmeau, Stéphane Laporte, Arno Bornkamp, Vincent David, among others.
He participated in several recordings and concerts broadcast live by Antena 2 and RTP. He joined the European Union Youth Wind Orchestra and the National Templários Wind Orchestra. He performed as a soloist with the Portuguese Symphonic Band and the Municipal Band of A Coruña. He was a co-founding member of the Porto Saxophone Quartet, the Portuguese Symphonic Band, the Ensemble Contemporaneus, and a member of the Algarve Wind Orchestra. With these ensembles, he premiered works by various composers and participated in several recording editions.
In terms of pedagogy, he led several advanced training courses in Portugal and Spain. He taught at the schools of Academia de Música de Lagos, at the Conservatório de VRSA, and at the Conservatório de Música Lagoa - Artis XXI, among others. He is currently a saxophone teacher at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé – Francisco Rosado.
Carolina Godinho
Music Theory, Ensemble Class
Carolina Leote Godinho, born in Albufeira, began her training in Piano at the local Music Conservatory and at CRAMC. She graduated in Choral Conducting and Music Theory from ESML (2017) and specialized in Soundtrack Composition and Music for Audiovisual Media through a master's degree at ESMUC (2018), in Barcelona, where she composed the soundtrack for the short film En Tu Piel.
Her international experience includes specialization courses in Varna, Bulgaria, and Baden, Austria. On the creative front, highlights include the composition of the Anthem for Albufeira European City of Sport 2026 and the piece No Mundo dos Sonhos (2024). As an orchestrator and arranger, she collaborates on a wide variety of national and international projects, notably the second album of Vivaldi Metal Project.
In the pedagogical field, she completed her Master's in Teaching at Politécnico do Porto (2022). Currently, she directs the Choir of Conservatório de Albufeira – a community project for adults – and teaches at CML-FR. Since her first day as a teacher, she has sought to ensure that students "stop seeing Music Theory as a bogeyman". As this is a "foundational" subject in the training of musicians, she challenges herself daily to make it more motivating and less intimidating.

Catarina Lemos e Melo began her musical studies at the Academia de Música de Santa Cecília. She graduated from the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa and later completed her Master's in Performance at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis under the guidance of Andrea Marcon.
She develops her artistic activity as a performer, regularly appearing as a soloist. She regularly collaborates with vocal and instrumental ensembles dedicated to historically informed performance, integrating early music projects and interdisciplinary productions focused on Renaissance and Baroque repertoire.
She performed in renowned venues and spaces such as the Centro Cultural de Belém, Palácio Nacional da Ajuda, Palácio Foz, Palácio Nacional de Mafra, Casa-Museu Anastácio Gonçalves and the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian. She also performed in projects with the Orquestra de Câmara Portuguesa and the Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa.
She is a founding member of the ensemble Gli Accentii, with which she performs regularly in concert, both in Portugal and abroad. She organized a concert series at Casa-Museu Anastácio Gonçalves during the 2019/2020 season. With Gli Accenti, she also performed at various festivals such as InMusica, Verão de Queluz, Noites de Queluz, Med Classic, Divam, Arte Larga, and Festival Setecentista.
Currently, she is a harpsichord teacher at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé – Francisco Rosado.

She began her musical studies at the Academia de Música e Artes de Avintes and later joined the Conservatório Regional de Gaia, where she studied Oboe with professors Saúl Silva and Ana Madalena Silva. During this period, she was part of the Wind Orchestra and the Classical Orchestra, also excelling in solo and ensemble performances.
In 2014, she completed her Bachelor's Degree in Music, specializing in Performance (Oboe), at the University of Minho, where she continued her studies in the Master's Degree in Music Education. Throughout her academic career, she collaborated with various ensembles, including the Professional and Academic Orchestra of the University of Minho, working with renowned conductors.
Collaborates regularly with the Orquestra Sinfónica do Algarve and participated in projects with the Orquestra Clássica do Sul, Orquestra Filarmonia de Gaia and Orquestra de Sopros do Algarve. Is a member of several ensembles, such as the quintet Quas’in Modus, the OboeFagote Ensemble and Al-Nisa.
In 2021, she completed her Postgraduate Degree in Music for Childhood, developing the project “Voar com a Música”. She held pedagogical positions at the Conservatório de Música do Porto, Academia de Música e Artes de Avintes, Academia de Música de Lagos, Conservatório de Música de Portimão, and Escola de Música Artistas de Minerva. Currently, she is an Oboe teacher at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé.
Daniela Vieira

Born in Germany in 1971, she moved to Portugal in 1984, where she would build her personal and professional path. From an early age, she showed an interest in languages and cultures, which led her to enroll at the University of Coimbra, where she studied English and German. It was in this academic context that her passion for language teaching was consolidated.
Throughout her career, she stood out for her enthusiasm and dedication to education, constantly seeking to make her classes more dynamic and motivating. She actively participated in Erasmus projects, school exchanges, and other international initiatives, believing that these experiences enrich both students and teachers.
Continuous training has always been a priority. Whenever possible, she participated in teacher training courses in English- and German-speaking countries, having attended programs in cities such as Bremen, Freiburg, Berlin, Edinburgh, Dublin, and Limerick. These experiences allowed her to deepen knowledge, engage with different teaching methodologies, and bring new perspectives to the classroom.
Her trajectory reflects a solid commitment to education and a lasting passion for languages.
Fernando Ponte

Born in Faro, he began his musical studies at the Conservatório Regional do Algarve Maria Campina, under the guidance of Professor Eudoro Grade. He graduated in Music (Guitar – performance variant) at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, where he studied with Professor Piñeiro Nagy, and later completed a Master's degree in Music Education at ISEIT – Almada, Instituto Piaget.
He began teaching guitar in the academic year 1995/96, and has since taught in various private and cooperative educational institutions in the Algarve region. Throughout his training, he participated in several Masterclasses with internationally renowned guitarists, such as Alberto Ponce, David Russell, Manuel Barrueco, Fabio Zanon, Margarita Escarpa, and Scott Tennant, among others.
He integrated and collaborated on several musical projects of different styles, participating in concerts, national tours, and recordings, notably: the Guitar Quartet “Concordis”, the Algarve Youth Guitar Orchestra, and traditional Portuguese music groups - “Vá de Viró” and “Urze e Zurze”, the alternative music band “Supernova”, as a guest for the national tour of the album “Unavoided Trax”. He also composed the soundtrack for the play “A curva”, by the Al-MaSRAH Teatro company, and translated the Guitar Pro V.5 software into Portuguese.
Currently, performs as a soloist and integrates the Duo “Fortíssimo”.
Inês Coelho (1980) is a Special Education teacher at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé - Francisco Rosado. Over the last three academic years, her path has been guided by the conviction that music and artistic expression are universal languages and that inclusion is a continuous process of breaking down barriers. Her integration into the Multidisciplinary Team for Inclusive Education Support (EMAEI) allows her to work on the uniqueness of each student, ensuring that their specific needs do not limit their artistic potential. Coordinating strategies with the teaching staff and the entire educational community is her commitment to ensuring that music is, truly, for everyone.

Born in Porto (1997), Inês Golegã holds a Master's degree in Music Education from ESMAE. In her academic career, she highlights professors Ana Cavaleiro, Marco Pereira, and Gil Magalhães as pivotal figures in her training. She also enrolled in the Master's in Performance at the Hochschule Musik Luzern, Switzerland.
Durante a sua formação, foi premiada em concursos como o "V Concurso Internacional de Sopros do Alto Minho". Paralelamente privilegia a aprendizagem contínua através de masterclasses, tendo trabalhado com nomes de referência como Peter-Lukas Graf, Júlia Gállego e Sarah Rumer.
In the pedagogical field, she gained experience in various specialized educational institutions, including the Conservatórios de Música de Paredes, Conservatório do Vale do Sousa, as well as the Academia de Música de Viana do Castelo. Currently, she teaches Flute and Chamber Music at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé - Francisco Rosado and the Academia de Música de Penafiel.
Her artistic side is marked by collaborations with groups such as the Orquestra Filarmónica de Braga, the Orquestra do Algarve, the Banda Sinfónica Portuguesa, among others. Recently, she created, together with professors Bruno Carneiro and António Hipólito, a chamber music trio (flute, double bass, and harpsichord). Outside the world of music, she is a sports and good gastronomy enthusiast, valuing the balance between professional life and her personal time.

Born in Setúbal, she began her musical studies in 2022 at the Sociedade Musical Capricho Setubalense and the Conservatório Regional de Setúbal. She holds a Bachelor's degree from the Academia Nacional Superior de Orquestra and a Master's degree in Music Education from the Universidade de Évora. She attended the Master's program in Performance at the Universidade de Évora and Post-graduate studies in Music Neurosciences at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. She attended masterclasses with Nuno Silva, Luis Gomes, Rui Martins, Paulo Gaspar (Portugal), Guy Deplus, Paul Meyer, Nicholas Baldeyrou, Michael Portal, Dominique Vidal, Etienne Lamaison (France), Karl Leister, Sebastian Manz (Germany), Nicolas Cox (England), Camilo Irizo, Radovan Cavallin, Juan Ferrer, Javier Balaguer, Josep Fuster, Cristo Barrios (Spain).
Her experience in music education across various fields has been developing continuously since 2009. Currently, she is a clarinet teacher at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé - Francisco Rosado and at the Sociedade Filarmónica Artistas de Minerva in Loulé. She maintains regular activity with the Lisbon Symphony Orchestra and in the field of Chamber Music with the CKLAVI trio.

Joana Fernandes, a native of São Brás de Alportel, began her musical studies at the age of 7 at the Conservatório Regional do Algarve Maria Campina, in João Mogo's class. She completed the 8th grade of the articulated regime at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé – Francisco Rosado, under the same guidance. She graduated with a degree in Orchestra Instrumentalist, specializing in Woodwinds and Percussion, from the Academia Nacional Superior de Orquestra, with Sérgio Charrinho and Rui Mirra. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Music Education at the University of Évora, in Pedro Monteiro's class.
They began teaching trumpet in 2024 at the Music School of the Sociedade Filarmónica Artistas de Minerva, having previously worked as a substitute at the Conservatório de Música da Metropolitana. They are currently a member of the teaching staff at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé – Francisco Rosado.
Throughout her career, she participated in various orchestral internships and projects, notably the Orquestra Sinfónica Ensemble (2018 and 2019) and the Jovem Orquestra da Costa Atlântica. She collaborated as a reinforcement in the Orquestra da Escola de Música do Colégio Moderno (2021–2023) and the Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa (2023). In 2025, she was part of the program of the XVIII Festival Internacional de Órgão do Algarve.

Joana Vieira Shumova, a pianist, has been a teacher at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé – Francisco Rosado since 2018. She began her musical journey at the Conservatório Regional do Algarve “Maria Campina”, in Oxana Anikeeva's class.
Her academic background includes a Master's in Music Education from the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa (2017) and training at the Royal College of Music, in London, where she completed, with distinction, Master's degrees in Performance Science (2013) and Piano Performance (2010), as well as the Artist Diploma (2011), under the guidance of Ashley Wass. During this period, she was a scholarship recipient of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. She holds a degree from Instituto Piaget, from Tânia Achot's class, 2008.
Joana dedicates herself with particular enthusiasm to the pedagogical aspect, having translated two piano initiation manuals into Portuguese. Through her teaching practice, she seeks to actively contribute to the growth of new generations of musicians, already counting several students awarded in competitions.
In parallel with her pedagogical work, Joana is also a member of the Caminus Duo with cellist Mikhail Shumov, and works as a collaborative pianist, having had the privilege of collaborating with several choral groups, namely with Coro Regina Coeli, Coro Vox Maris, Ensemble Vocal Aura and Coro Gulbenkian.
João Lourenço

João Lourenço began his musical studies at the Instituto Militar dos Pupilos do Exército and divided the first stage of his training between the Conservatório Regional de Ponta Delgada and the Escola de Música do Conservatório Nacional, studying with professors Yuri Pankiv and Alexandre Branco. He continued at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa and at LUCA – School of Arts (Leuven, Belgium) in the flute classes of professors Nuno Ivo Cruz, Nuno Inácio and Berten D’Hollander, thus completing master's degrees in performance and music education. He attended several masterclasses with renowned pedagogues, who strongly influenced him as a performer and as a teacher.
As a musician, highlights include concerts performed with the Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa, the Orquestra Clássica do Sul, with which he regularly collaborates, the recording of soundtracks for French and Dutch film productions, and frequent participation in various chamber groups.
In recent years, he has taught throughout the Algarve and led masterclasses in flute in Lagos and Ponta Delgada. Currently, he is a teacher at the Music School of the Sociedade Filarmónica Artistas de Minerva and is a member of the faculty, as a flute teacher, at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé – Francisco Rosado.

Born in Carviçais, he began his musical studies at the local Philharmonic Band. He studied at the Escola Profissional de Artes de Mirandela with Maciel Matos, at the Escola Profissional de Música de Espinho with Jorge Almeida, at the Academia Nacional Superior de Orquestra with David Burt, Rui Mirra, and Sérgio Charrinho, at the Royal Northern College of Music with John Miller and Murray Greig, and at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama with John Wallace, Mark O’Keefe, and Peter Franks.
He completed a Master's Degree in Orchestral Performance at the International University of Andalusia/Barenboim-Said Foundation with Denis Konir and Rainer Auerbach, a Master's Degree in Music Education at the Jean Piaget Institute of Almada, and a Specialized Training Course in School Administration and Organization, all with high distinction.
He is a founding member of the PLAN B4T Trumpet Quartet, of the Portuguese Trumpet Ensemble, a group with which he was invited to participate in the International Trumpet Guild (ITG) in Denver, Colorado, and Glassboro, New Jersey (USA), as well as The Skyline Brass Quintet, winners of the Philip Jones Brass Prize competition in 2007, with whom he performed recitals throughout the United Kingdom and Italy.
Currently, he is a trumpet and chamber music professor at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé – Francisco Rosado, Artistic Director of the Festival Internacional de Trompete do Algarve (FITA), and B Soloist of the Orquestra do Algarve.

João Venda (1984), guitarist, born in Lisbon. He began his studies at the Albufeira Conservatory with Professor Rui Mourinho, continuing at the Lagos Music Academy with Pablo González and Juan Camacho León.
Graduated in Music (Classical Guitar) from the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, with Professor António Jorge Gonçalves, and in Chamber Music with Nuno Inácio and Fernando Fontes. Master's degree in Specialized Music Teaching from the Instituto Jean Piaget, in Almada, with José Mesquita Lopes.
He performed in recitals, solo and in chamber music ensembles (duets, trios, and quartet), notably the quartet “Concordis”, with performances at national and international festivals and venues, including Festival MED, Teatro Lethes, Lagoa Guitar Festival, Essonne, Les Nuits Musicales de Cieux, Vendôme, Pescara, Palencia, among others.
He participated in masterclasses with Piñero Nagy, Fabio Zanon, Dejan Ivanovic, António Jorge Gonçalves, Jesús Pineda and Ramón Carnota, among others.
In parallel with his activity as a teacher, he develops projects in various musical contexts, exploring different styles and languages, through participation in concerts and collaborations that enrich his artistic experience.
Currently, he teaches at the Conservatório de Albufeira and at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé – Francisco Rosado.

José Alegre
Portuguese Guitar, Ensemble Class

José Alegre was born in Lisbon in 1963 and began his musical journey as a self-taught musician in his early adolescence. He considers Music an open world without borders, dividing his practice among various instruments and his interests across areas as diverse as historical music, rock, traditional Portuguese music, and many other ethnic forms he encounters, on a path full of affections and unexpected ramifications.
In 1997, he completed his classical guitar studies at the Conservatório Regional do Algarve in the class of Professor Eudoro Grade. He began playing the Portuguese guitar in 2002 with guitarist Miguel Drago, and from 2005 onwards, he regularly worked with guitarist and composer Pedro Caldeira Cabral. In September 2012, he completed the first bachelor's degree in Portuguese guitar, mentored by musician and composer Custódio Castelo, at the Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas in Castelo Branco. In September 2017, at the same institution, he completed a Master's degree in instrument and chamber music teaching. Currently, he teaches Portuguese guitar and ensemble music at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé, while simultaneously developing a regular activity in various projects related to world music.
José Gomes

A native of Braga, José Miguel Gomes began his musical journey at the age of 6 at the Conservatório Calouste Gulbenkian de Braga, later graduating from the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa under the guidance of Khatchatur Amirkhanian. His career is marked by extensive orchestral experience, having collaborated with various orchestras: Orquestra do Algarve/Clássica do Sul, Filarmonia das Beiras, Sinfónica da Póvoa de Varzim, and Orquestra Sinfónica Juvenil (Assistant Concertmaster). He worked with renowned conductors such as Álvaro Cassuto, Christopher Bochmann, Pedro Neves, Cesário Costa, Osvaldo Ferreira, among others.
Currently, he maintains a regular performing activity as a member of the Sul’Arte Quartet and the Cklavi Trio. In parallel, he has consolidated an excellent curriculum in pedagogy, teaching Violin and Ensemble Class at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé – Francisco Rosado. His students have won awards in national reference competitions, such as the Concurso Nacional de Cordas “Vasco Barbosa” and Concurso Capela. As an Ensemble Class teacher, he led the orchestras of the conservatories of Olhão (2016) and Loulé (2025) to victory in the 1st Prize of the International Soundtrack Competition, in Spain. His experience also extends to guiding sections in orchestra workshops and international festivals.

Laura Quaresma was born in 1996 and began her piano studies at the age of six, at the Conservatório de Música de Portimão Joly Braga Santos. She continued her studies with pianist Álvaro Teixeira Lopes, having completed her Bachelor's Degree in Music (Piano Performance) and her Master's Degree in Music Education, both at the Universidade de Aveiro. She attended various technique and interpretation courses with pianists such as Olga Prats, Fausto Neves, António Rosado, Serghei Covalenko, among others. She has participated in several national and international piano competitions and received various distinctions. Recently, she was honored by the Portimão City Council with the “Mérito Municipal” (Municipal Merit) for her “life journey, an example of active citizenship, commitment, dedication, and good services rendered to the community, particularly in the academic and artistic fields”.
Currently, she teaches at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé - Francisco Rosado as an Accompanist Pianist Teacher and maintains projects related to classical and popular music, also working as a freelance musician.

Luís Lopo began his musical studies at the age of six, subsequently enrolling in the Conservatório Regional de Setúbal, where he studied with professors Eduardo Jordão and Nuno Batoca.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Music, specializing in Piano, and a Master's degree in Music Education, specializing in Piano and Composition. Throughout his education, he had the opportunity to work with names such as Christopher Bochmann, Roberto Pérez, Ana Telles Béreau, Pedro Amaral, and Benoît Gibson. He also attended several musical improvement masterclasses with pianists such as Lilian Akopova, Christophe Simonet, Sara Davis Buechner, José Eduardo Martins, among others.
Since 2019, he has been a teacher at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé - Francisco Rosado, where he has taught the subjects of Piano, Keyboard Instrument, Accompaniment and Improvisation, and Analysis and Composition Techniques.
Alongside his teaching career, he remains active in his areas of expertise, with his compositions being premiered and performed in Portugal and abroad.
Maria Mosa, a native of Covilhã, began her musical studies at the Conservatório Regional da Covilhã, where she studied Transverse Flute in the class of Professor Rui Sousa.
In 2014, she began her degree in Musicology at Universidade Nova de Lisboa. In 2018, she continued her studies at Universidade de Aveiro, where she completed her master's degree in Music Education, specializing in Music History, with Professor Maria do Rosário Pestana. In 2026, she completed her master's degree in Educational Sciences, with Professor António Fragoso, at Universidade do Algarve.
She began her professional activity in 2013 as a music and music education teacher in kindergartens and in the 1st Cycle of Basic Education. Between 2021 and 2022, she taught Music Education at Escola EB 2/3 Eng. Duarte Pacheco. Currently, she teaches Music History at Escola das Artes do Alentejo Litoral and at Conservatório de Música de Loulé – Francisco Rosado.
Over the years she has participated in several conferences as a speaker, among which stand out two editions of Post-ip (2019 and 2021);one edition of Hidden Archives, Hidden Practices: Debates about music-making(2020)and one edition of Propostas para a Integração da Perspetiva de Género no Ensino Superior(2025), among others.
Mário Guedes is a teacher and trainer with a consolidated academic background in the areas of Languages, Literatures, and Educational Sciences. He holds a degree in Modern Languages and Literatures (Portuguese and Italian Studies) and a master's degree in Educational Sciences – Specialization in Educational Informatics, having explored themes such as “Technologies, Didactics, Psychology, Library/Resource Centre Animation”.
Teacher of Portuguese Language and Portuguese as a Non-Native Language since 1992, he has also developed work in the teaching of Portuguese and Italian Language and Culture, integrating from the beginning the pilot project offering Italian Language in secondary education at AE Gil Eanes - Lagos.
His pedagogical experience is articulated with extensive activity as a trainer, promoting actions in the areas of didactics, literacies, educational technologies, and intercultural mediation, in public and private institutions.
In parallel, he has collaborated on European projects, international seminars, and educational cooperation initiatives, contributing to pedagogical innovation and the development of collaborative practices. Author and co-author of publications on digital literacies and eTwinning, he maintains a trajectory marked by the promotion of educational quality, cultural openness, and active participation in learning networks.

Born in Porto, Marta completed her piano studies at AMCC - Academia de Música de Costa Cabral with Professor Eliana Veríssimo and, subsequently, at the Conservatório de Música do Porto, with Dina Resende. She graduated from the Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo under the guidance of Luís Filipe Sá, where she completed her Master's in Music Education in 2023.
She has been teaching since 2021 and served as a piano teacher and accompanying pianist at the Conservatório de Voz Comunicação e Artes, AMCC, and Conservatório Regional de Gaia. Since 2024, she has been an accompanying pianist teacher at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé – Francisco Rosado.
In recent years, she collaborated with the Portuguese Symphonic Band and the Contratempus Quartet and, in 2026, with the Algarve Orchestra. Regarding vocal accompaniment, she participated in and served as repetiteur for the opera Delícias de Morangos e Chantilly, by Pedro Lima (2023-2025), and served as repetiteur for the opera Madrugada, promoted by MPMP Património Musical Vivo (2024). She also participated in the Lyrical Singing Competition of the Fundação Rotária Portuguesa (2025), the Lied The Way Festival in Florence (2024), the Projeto:Canção (2022), and performed Lied recitals with Rita Morais in Porto, Guarda, and Castelo Branco (2022-2023).

Óscar Ramos, born in Funchal, was born on December 9, 2002. He began his trombone studies in 2017 with Professor Luís Rodrigues and, in the same year, enrolled in the professional instrumentalist course at the Conservatório – Escola Profissional das Artes da Madeira. In 2020, he continued his education at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, completing his Bachelor's Degree in Music – Trombone variant, in Professor Ricardo Pereira's class. In 2023, he began his Master's Degree in Performance, completed in 2026. He participated in several masterclasses and worked with international trombonists and pedagogues.
In the pedagogical scope, he is a trombone teacher at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé – Francisco Rosado, in the 2025/2026 academic year, developing regular work with students of different levels of specialized artistic education.
As a performer, he maintains regular activity in an orchestral context, collaborating with ensembles such as the Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Cascais and Oeiras Chamber Orchestra, the Madeira Classical Orchestra, the Algarve Orchestra, the Beiras Philharmonia Orchestra, the Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Lisbon Film Orchestra. He was awarded 2nd place in the International Competition

Pedro Branco

Pedro Branco was born on October 1, 1993, having started his musical life at the age of 6 at the Sociedade Filarmónica Artistas de Minerva de Loulé. He deepened his Percussion studies at the Conservatório Joly Braga Santos, in Portimão, in the class of Prof. Vasco Ramalho, later moving on to the University of Évora to complete his Bachelor's degree in Music with Prof. Eduardo Lopes. Over the years, he participated in various Percussion Festivals in Portimão, having attended workshops with teachers such as Ludwig Albert, Lin Chin Cheng, Rui Gomes, among others.
In 2011, he won the Best Student award at the Academia de Música de Lagos, in the Anatólio Falé Music Competition. He collaborates regularly with the group “Ao Luar Teatro”, having already provided musical direction for several theatrical plays, with the Orquestra Clássica do Sul and various Philharmonic Bands.
He is a founding member of several groups, including Al-Fanfare, Dizmove, among others. Currently, he is finishing a Master's in Music Education in Évora, teaching percussion at the Sociedade Filarmónica Artistas de Minerva de Loulé, at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé, and at the Conservatório Regional do Baixo Alentejo. He has a social project involving a Traditional Bass Drum Orchestra in the village of Alte named "Rufos" and is the Conductor of the Sociedade Filarmónica Artistas de Minerva de Loulé. Since 2015, he has carried out various activities related to Music for Babies in several schools and municipalities.
Pedro Louzeiro

Pedro Louzeiro (1975), composer, born in Lagos. He teaches at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé – Francisco Rosado. He holds a PhD in Composition from the University of Évora, where he researched themes related to soloist–ensemble interaction mediated by real-time notation systems, as an FCT scholarship holder. He holds a Master's degree in Composition from the University of Évora (2013) and a Bachelor's degree in Music Theory from ESML (2002). He has performed extensively with the Comprovisador system, which he developed as part of his doctorate, presenting his work at international conferences, e.g.: SMC2016, Hamburgo, SMC2018, Limassol, CMMR2017, Matosinhos, CMMR2019, Marselha, ICMC2017, Xangai, TENOR2018, Montréal, and TENOR2020/21, Hamburgo. He was awarded 2nd Prize in the II Goffredo Petrassi International Composition Competition for Guitar (Roma, 2012), and received Honourable Mentions in the X Carl von Ossietzky International Composition Competition (Oldenburg, 2010) and the IV Fernando Lopes-Graça International Composition Prize (Cascais, 2014).
Notable works include: “Proclamação” (2010) – a work commissioned to mark the Centenary of the Portuguese Republic; “Água – a Seiva da Terra” (2011) – a work commissioned to commemorate World Water Day; “Garb’urlesco” (2019), for ensemble, multichannel electronics and animated score; “HydroSonics” and “HydroSonics 2” (2023), for percussion and multichannel electronics – works based on the sonification of hydrological time series data from the Algarve.

Pedro de Oliveira e Sá is a violin teacher at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé and maintains a regular artistic activity as a violinist, violist, and chamber musician. He is a member of the Quarteto do Algarve, the Orquestra Sinfónica do Algarve, and the Algarve Camerata, an ensemble with which he has also performed as a soloist, on both the violin and the viola.
He completed his studies at the Conservatório de Música de Aveiro, in the class of André Fonseca; he earned a degree in Music — Violin variant — from the Universidade de Évora, where he studied with Valentim Stefanov, and completed a Master's degree in Music Education under the guidance of Lívio Scripcaru. He also holds a degree in Information and Communication Technologies from the Universidade de Aveiro.

Ricardo Miguel Antunes Coelho (1976), pianist and music teacher, born in Faro. He teaches at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé – Francisco Rosado. He holds a Degree in Music – Performance variant (Piano) from the University of Évora, and is currently pursuing a Master's in Music Education at the Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco. He has also attended various training courses and workshops in the areas of music pedagogy and jazz.
Throughout his pedagogical career, he taught in various specialized artistic education institutions, including the Conservatório Regional do Algarve Maria Campina, the Academia de Música de Tavira, and INUAF – Instituto Superior Dom Afonso III, covering different levels of education, from initiation to higher education. He also served as coordinator of an artistic department.
In parallel, he maintains a consistent artistic activity as a pianist, composer, and musical director. He is responsible for various projects and shows presented in relevant cultural contexts, notably his collaboration with Teatro das Figuras, where he conceived and performed productions such as Uma Pequena História da Música and Pássaro Escritor. He maintains a regular concert activity, participating in festivals and events in the Algarve music scene.

Romeu Madeira began his musical studies at the Conservatório de Música de Coimbra. He continued his training at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, where he studied violin with Khachatour Amirkhanian and chamber music with Irene Lima and Olga Prats. In 2010, he enrolled in the master's program at the Academia Nacional Superior de Orquestra, in Aníbal Lima's class.
Throughout their career, they attended several masterclasses in violin and chamber music with renowned national and international musicians, having also worked with several prominent conductors. They collaborated with numerous orchestras, including the Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa, Remix Ensemble, Orquestra do Algarve, Orquestra de Câmara Portuguesa, Orquestra Gulbenkian, and Orquestra Sinfónica do Algarve, performing regularly in orchestral and chamber music settings.
He was a member of the Chamber Orchestra of the Republican National Guard, where he performed as a soloist, and was part of the Metropolitan Orchestra of Lisbon. He also developed chamber music activities in the Sintra String Quartet.
In parallel, he has developed an intense pedagogical activity in several institutions. Currently, he is a violin professor at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé – Francisco Rosado, and is also a member of the Ensemble Gli Accenti and the Quarteto Algarve.

Rui Mourinho (1976), guitarist, born in Portimão. He has been teaching in the M11 recruitment group - Classical Guitar since 2000, and has been a permanent teacher at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé - Francisco Rosado since 2021. He holds a PhD in Music and Musicology from the University of Évora, specializing in performance (2020). He holds a Master's degree in Music Education, specializing in Instrument - Guitar from the Lisbon Superior School of Music (ESML) (2012) and a Master's degree in Music, specializing in Instrument - Guitar from ESML (2011). He holds a Licentiate degree in Music, Instrument Variant, Branch: Guitar from ESML (2004) and a Bachelor's degree in Music, Instrument Variant, Guitar Branch from ESML (2003).
His discography includes three CDs: Outras Músicas, as a member of Vá-de-Viró, Balletti with the Ensemble de Flautas do Município de Loulé and Stephen Goss Guitar Works Vol.1. He performs regularly as a soloist, with orchestra and in chamber music groups on various stages throughout Europe. He is the dedicatee of works by composers such as Gonçalo Lourenço, Cristóvão Silva, André Santos, Pedro Louzeiro and Stephen Goss.

Rui Miguel Rico Marques e Rúbio is a native of Barrancos, in the district of Beja. He began his musical studies at the school of the Banda Filarmónica Fim de Século de Barrancos in the horn class. In 2000, he enrolled in the Basic Course at the Escola Profissional de Música de Évora, with Carlos Rosado and Jorge Barradas as his teachers. He continued his musical studies at the Conservatório Regional de Évora and the Conservatório do Baixo Alentejo, in the class of Professor Jorge Barradas. In 2014, he enrolled at the University of Évora, where he completed his Bachelor's degree in Horn Performance, under the guidance of Professor Luís Vieira. In 2023, he completed his Master's degree in Music Education – Horn, in the class of Professor Ângelo Caleira, at the University of Évora.
He is a founding member and horn player of the Alentejo Brass Quintet and as a guest musician he performed with the Orquestra Clássica do Sul, Orquestra Clássica do Algarve, Orquestra de Sopros da Universidade de Évora, Orquestra Clássica da Universidade de Évora, Orquestra de Sopros do Conservatório Regional de Évora and Orquestra de Sopros do Conservatório do Baixo Alentejo.

Sérgio Leite is the current Director of the Conservatório de Música de Loulé – Francisco Rosado, a public institution where he also serves as a piano teacher. With a career entirely dedicated to music, he combines his experience as a pianist with a strong pedagogical vocation. Over the years, he has made a point of enriching his artistic vision and teaching method through active participation in masterclasses with various renowned pedagogues in the musical landscape.
His solid academic background reflects his commitment to teaching and performance. He graduated in Music, specializing in Piano, from the Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo (ESMAE), with a grade of 19 in instrument and 20 in chamber music. At the same institution, he completed his Master's in Artistic Performance (2012) and Master's in Music Education (2016), achieving the highest grade in his educational practice. To consolidate his skills in the area of school management and leadership, he completed a Specialization in School Administration and Organization at IESF (2019) and, in 2025, a Global MBA certified by ENEB and Universidad Internacional Isabel I de Castilla, concluded with the mention of Sobresaliente.

Tiago Horta began his musical studies at the age of 6, in the piano class of Professor Ivete Rebelo, at the Conservatório de Música Calouste Gulbenkian de Braga. At 15, he began studying Classical Guitar at the same Conservatory and Singing, in the class of Professors Isabel Maya and Cristina Gonçalves. He was part of several musical projects as a keyboardist, bassist, and vocalist in pop/rock music, performing in cover bands and with original songs.
He also accompanies various musicians as a freelance keyboardist, performing at various events and venues and participating in video and audio recordings. He graduated in Music from the University of Aveiro, specializing in Conducting, Theory, and Music Theory, in the class of professor and composer Vasco Negreiros, where he frequently participated in concerts as a chorister for the same university.
He holds a Master's degree in Music Education, specializing in Choral and Instrumental Conducting, from the University of Minho. Since 2020, he has been a teacher at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé – Francisco Rosado, teaching Ensemble Class and Music Theory.

Throughout his career, he worked with conductors such as Ernest Schelle, Thomas Sanderling, Paulo Martins, Pedro Carneiro, and Jean-Sébastien Béreau. He participated in masterclasses with Günter Pfitzenmaier, Lindow Watts, Marc Trénel, Roberto Giaccaglia, Steve Harriswangler, Giorgio Mandolesi, and Gustavo Nunez. He was awarded prizes in the Prémio Jovens Músicos (Chamber Music) and the Concurso Terras La-Salette (Bassoon).

Born in Reguengos de Monsaraz, Vasco Ramalho holds a Master's degree in Percussion/Performance (2024) and a Bachelor's degree in Percussion/Teaching (2005) from the University of Évora, in the class of Prof. Dr. Eduardo Lopes. He completed a postgraduate degree in solo marimba at the Royal Conservatory Antwerp – Belgium, in the class of Dr. Ludwig Albert (2008).
He is the artistic director of the Évora International Percussion Festival, Portimão Percussion Days, and the Artes S(em)Palco Festival in Reguengos de Monsaraz. In 2017, he released his first CD, Vasco Ramalho - Essências de Marimba, Fados & Choros, and in 2025, the CD “Atão” – Music for marimba by Algarve composers.
As a teacher, he teaches at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé and is a visiting assistant professor at the University of Évora. Since 2013, he has been an Adams artist, one of the leading brands of percussion instruments in the world. He is a PhD candidate in Music and Musicology at the University of Évora. In 2023, he was awarded the cultural merit medal by the municipality of Reguengos de Monsaraz.

Vitor Mira (1976) began his musical studies at the age of 8 in Montemor-o-Novo in private lessons with Prof. José António Mougueira, having completed the Official Accordion Course in 2000 at the Instituto Musical Vitorino Matono, in Lisbon, in the class of Prof. José António Anselmo de Sousa, and completed his Professional Qualification through the Universidade Aberta in 2013.
Attended instrumental masterclasses led by internationally renowned professors such as V. Semyonov, Friedrich Lips, Vladimir Zubitsky, and Maximilliano Pitocco.
Attended the Accordion Orchestras of the Instituto Musical Vitorino Matono, in Lisbon, under the guidance of Prof. Vitorino Matono, and also the Orchestra of Prof. Joaquim Raposo under his own direction.
Participated in several accordion competitions, where they obtained two second places in the National Competition in Alcobaça (1996 and 1997).
They have participated as jury members in several National and International competitions and have dedicated most of their lives to teaching and the search for new learning and improvement methodologies, more focused on students and teachers.
He began his career as an Accordion teacher at the Escola de Música Casa Espadinha in Montemor-o-Novo in 1996, and currently teaches at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé - Francisco Rosado and the Conservatório de Música de Albufeira.
Instruments
Vítor Silva, a native of Carviçais, began his musical studies in Tuba at the Banda Filarmónica de Carviçais with conductor and Lieutenant Colonel Fernando José Sanches. In 2006, he entered the Escola Profissional de Artes da Beira Interior (EPABI) in Tuba, in the class of Professor Amílcar Gameiro. From 2007 to 2012, he studied in the class of Professor Nuno Machado, and during this period, he attended several Tuba masterclasses led by renowned professors such as Sérgio Carolino, Dirk Hirthe, David Childs, Bastien Baument, Joseph Burguera Riera, Gonçalo Marques, Edu Diniz, Thierry Thibault, and João Aibéo.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Tuba from the Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas (ESART) and a Master's degree in Music Education from the same institution, with a dissertation entitled: The importance of right-hand stretching exercises in Tuba teaching: an exploratory study. From 2016 to 2019, he taught the Tuba and Euphonium Class at the Conservatório Regional de Castelo Branco. In 2024, he taught Music Education at the Agrupamento de Escolas Dra. Laura Ayres. In 2025, he taught Music Education at the Agrupamento de Escolas Padre João Coelho Cabanita. He is currently a Tuba/Euphonium teacher at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé – Francisco Rosado and at the Music School of the Sociedade Filarmónica Artistas de Minerva.
