Contextualization of the Educational Offer - FAQs
How are the admission tests conducted
For admission to any of the courses taught at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé – Francisco Rosado, a selection test is conducted for Music Theory and for the Instrument(s) to which the candidate applies (one test for each component). The study plans and the necessary requirements for access to the Specialized Music Education Courses are regulated by Portaria n.º 223-A/2018, de 3 de agosto, Portaria n.º229-A/2018, de 14 de agosto and Decreto-Lei 55/2018, de 6 de julho.
As a public school within the Specialized Artistic Education network, all interested parties are eligible to attend the Basic and Secondary Music Courses, after taking the aforementioned tests, regardless of the location of their area of residence.
What attendance regimes do you offer?
- "Articulado" Frequency Regime
- "Supletivo" Frequency Regime
What are the differences between the Articulated and Supplementary Attendance Regimes
In the "Articulado" Frequency Regime (only from the 5th year of schooling), there is a progressive reduction of the general curriculum (school) and a reinforcement of the specific curriculum (Conservatory), allowing the development of essential and structuring competencies related to an education within compulsory schooling. In this regime, there is an articulation with the school of the general component (reference school) and the artistic education school. Attendance in this regime is free of charge.
In the "Articulado" Frequency Regime, the student attends the entirety of the general curriculum (school) cumulatively with the specific curriculum of the music course (Conservatory), and there cannot be a discrepancy between the level attended at the Conservatory and the general education school exceeding 2 years of schooling (Cumulatively, in the case of secondary education, candidates for the instrument course cannot be older than 18 on August 31st in the year of application, and candidates for the singing course cannot be older than 23 on the same date). Attendance in this regime is free of charge.
