Young composer Rafael de Almeida distinguished with Honorable Mention
The student Rafael de Almeida received an Honorable Mention in the 21st Century National Composition Prize – 16th Edition. Congratulations on this distinction!
It is with great satisfaction that we share the success achieved by our student Rafael de Almeida (Secondary Music Course – Composition) at the 16th Edition of the National Composition Prize Século XXI (ARTEAM/AMVC). The young composer was distinguished with an Honorable Mention, in the Chamber Music category, for his piece “Estudos em Modos - Eólio”, for flute quartet.
The awards ceremony and the final concert took place on May 7, 2026, at the Prof. Lima de Carvalho Auditorium, in Viana do Castelo, with a jury composed of Luís de Carvalho, Francisco Ribeiro, and Gustavo Gonçalves, organized by the Escola Profissional Artística do Alto Minho (ARTEAM) and the Academia de Música de Viana do Castelo (AMVC).
