Student Guilherme Pinheiro wins 2nd place at the Namur International Double Bass Competition, in Belgium
The student Guilherme Pinheiro won 2nd place in Category A, at the Namur International Double Bass Competition, Belgium, which took place on August 13, 2026.
The competition is integrated into one of the most important international meetings dedicated to the double bass, bringing together young talents, great pedagogues, and world references of the instrument, with a jury panel that included: Thierry Barbé (France), Zhaoyang Chang (Belgium), Christine Hoock (Germany), Junxia Hou (China), Tian Yang Liu (United States), Bing Luo (China), Thomas Martin (United Kingdom), Eric Mathot (Belgium), Mark Morton (United States), Catalin Rotaru (Romania), and Xia Yang (China).
