Teachers from the Conservatório de Loulé undertake Erasmus+ mobility at the Conservatório «Costa del Sol», Fuengirola, Málaga

Between January 26 and 29, professors José Gomes and Sérgio Leite, from the Conservatório de Música de Loulé - Francisco Rosado, travelled to Fuengirola, Málaga (Spain), for a mobility under the Erasmus+ programme, in a Job Shadowing scheme.

The visit's host institution was the Conservatorio Profesional de Música "Costa del Sol". The Algarve delegation was received by the management of the Spanish school, with particular emphasis on the support provided by the secretary and clarinet teacher, Daniel Valdés Álvarez. During their stay, the teachers had the opportunity to attend various classes, both instrument and music theory, thanks to the availability of the local teaching staff.

This mobility allowed for further learning, in loco, about the functioning of specialized music art schools in Spain. The observation period enabled a deeper understanding of the pedagogical strategies and teaching tools used by Spanish counterparts, promoting a moment of experience sharing and technical-pedagogical enrichment.

In addition to the training aspect, the visit served to strengthen professional and institutional relations between the two conservatories. The objective is to create foundations that will allow, in the future, the organization of joint activities involving students and teachers from both schools, focused on preparing students for a professional career in music.

Integration into these projects, under the Erasmus+ programme, reflects the commitment of the Conservatório de Música de Loulé to promote the continuous evolution of the institution and its teaching staff, aiming at the constant improvement of the public education service provided to the community.
