Dias Antigos VII promote Early Music in Loulé

The 7th edition of the Early Music Days of the Conservatório de Música de Loulé – Francisco Rosado took place with great success between June 30th and July 3rd. Over the course of four days, around 40 students and teachers participated in chamber music and orchestra projects, a Renaissance dance workshop, and improvisation workshops, in an environment of intense learning, sharing, and collaboration.

The initiative provided participants with in-depth contact with the repertoire, performance styles, and historically informed practices of music spanning from the Middle Ages to the second half of the 18th century. The work developed allowed for the strengthening of ensemble performance skills, the promotion of interaction between students of different ages and education levels, and the encouragement of knowledge regarding the instruments, composers, and historical contexts associated with Early Music.

The final concert constituted the culmination of the work carried out during the activity, allowing participants to present the prepared repertoire to the community and contribute to the dissemination and appreciation of Early Music in the municipality of Loulé. The enthusiasm, commitment, and high level of participation from all involved confirmed, once again, the success of this initiative and its importance in the artistic and cultural enrichment of the students and the educational community.
