Accordion students at the VII Youth Accordion Festival, City of Silves
Students from Professor Vítor Mira's Accordion class participated in the VII Youth Accordion Festival in Silves, an event that promotes young accordionists.
On May 3rd, at 3:30 PM, the Mascarenhas Gregório Theatre hosted the VII Silves City Youth Accordion Festival. The event featured the participation of approximately 20 young accordionists, highlighting the presence of students Ian Leite, Maya Veit Souza, and Apolo Pereira, from Professor Vítor Mira's Accordion class.
Organized by the Junta de Freguesia de Silves and the Sociedade Filarmónica Silvense, the festival was supported by the Município de Silves and the Restaurante Ponte Romana. On stage, various schools and classes were represented, under the guidance of teachers Anabela Silva, Andreia Cabrita, Hermenegildo Guerreiro, Lina Amores, Luís Gama, and Vítor Mira.
The Youth Accordion Festival reaffirms itself as a privileged showcase to present the work developed by young talents, while simultaneously stimulating and promoting a passion for this instrument. More than just a musical showcase, these events serve as a meeting point between different pedagogical approaches, driving the shared passion for the accordion — an instrument that, thanks to the capabilities of the concert model, continues to expand its artistic horizons.
