Students of Conservatório de Loulé participate in the First Meeting of Young Violists of the Algarve
On April 18th, the 1st Meeting of Young Violists of the Algarve was held at Casa das Artes in Portimão.
Organized by viola teachers Caio Oshiro (CML-FR) and João Sousa (Agrupamento de Escolas da Bemposta), the event is an important milestone for the representation of this class in the region. Professor João Sousa reminded those present that, during his student days, just a few years ago, he was the only viola student in the Algarve. The Meeting featured an exchange of masterclasses, student camaraderie, and the performance of an ensemble with all the violists present. Our students participated in full force in this activity, and we hope it marks the beginning of yet another tradition for bowed strings in the Algarve!—
