Students Carmo Henriques and Gabriel Shumov awarded the 1st prize in the Concurso Internacional Cidade do Fundão - 2025 Edition

The city of Fundão hosted, on July 3rd and 4th, the Fundão International Competition - 2025 Edition, part of the "Cidade do Fundão" International Festival. The competition, which has already had over 20 editions, included categories for piano, guitar, violin, and saxophone. 

The piano contestants were evaluated by a jury composed of Dário Cunha, Jorge Moyano, Luís Pipa, Inês Andrade, and Lígia Madeira. The 5th-year student Carmo Henriques, from the class of Professor Joana Shumova, was awarded the 1st prize in Level A.

In the saxophone category, the jury, composed of Tiago Gonçalves, Fernando Ramos, José Massarão, Hélder Alves, and Ricardo Pires, awarded the 1st prize in Level B to student Gabriel Shumov, from the 6th year, from Professor Carlos Ramalho's class.

We congratulate students Carmo Henriques and Gabriel Shumov, as well as their respective teachers, Joana Shumova and Carlos Ramalho, for the results achieved. We also express our gratitude to the Parents/Guardians for their continuous support, which contributes significantly to the musical, personal, and artistic development of their children.
