The third edition of the JMA - Young Musicians of the Algarve Project took place in Tavira, on May 31 and June 1, 2025. This initiative, which results from a partnership between all specialized artistic education schools in the Algarve region, with the support of DGEstE-DSRAL, is an itinerant project that, after being launched by the Conservatório de Música de Loulé - Francisco Rosado (2022), has already been organized and hosted by the Conservatório de Música de Olhão (2023), by the Escola Básica e Secundária da Bemposta, in Portimão (2024), and now by the Academia de Música de Tavira.
In the current edition, 5 students from CML-FR participated: Adriana Gonçalves (soprano), Teresa Rufino (flutist), Joana Rodrigues, Laura Ramos, and Maria Fernandez (violists).
This type of projects that bring together diverse efforts, and which succeed in mobilizing young people in the pursuit of their artistic and personal enrichment, are a guaranteed success and an added value for the students and for the region. May they continue for many good years!
