Opera "The Little Prince" with the participation of students and teachers from the Conservatório de Música de Loulé - Francisco Rosado

On June 1st and 2nd, the Teatro das Figuras in Faro hosted a magical performance: the opera "The Little Prince", a piece that enchanted the audience with its beauty, emotion, and inspiring message.

Director Jorge Balça brought Saint-Exupéry's story to life on stage, transporting the audience to the various planets visited by the Little Prince. His creative and sensitive direction highlighted the richness and depth of the work.

The Orquestra do Algarve, under the baton of maestro Miguel Sepúlveda, graced us with an impeccable performance! The synergy between the professional musicians (orchestra and singers) and the students from the participating Conservatories was remarkable, creating a rich and engaging musical atmosphere. The opera's melody transported the audience to the magical world of The Little Prince, intensifying the emotion of the show.

The main role of The Little Prince was very well interpreted by the students, who proved to be up to the challenges presented to them! Their pure and expressive voices moved the audience, bringing to life the character's innocence and wisdom. The student choir, composed of promising talents, also contributed greatly to the beauty and magic of this opera, with Rachel Portman's beautiful music.

Behind this success lies the hard work and dedication of everyone involved. The Conservatory students dedicated themselves tirelessly to their preparation: in classes, rehearsals, and concerts, under the attentive and motivating guidance of their teachers. The "Fadas e Elfos - Associação Cultural" and the "Orquestra do Algarve" joined forces and creativity to bring this dream to life, providing the audience with memorable moments. It was an excellent way to celebrate World Children's Day!

Congratulations to everyone who made "The Little Prince" a reality! Your passion for music, your talent, and your hard work are an inspiration to us all. This show was a true dream flight, teaching us about the importance of friendship, imagination, and what is truly essential in life.

I also publicly extend my thanks, for my part, to the teachers of the Conservatório de Música de Loulé - Francisco Rosado, Tiago Horta and Michele Tomaz, who were always available from the very first moment and who also contributed to the success that was the final result of these two recitals.
