Old Days V

This week, Early Music was heard, played, and experienced at the Conservatório de Música de Loulé - Francisco Rosado! The 5th edition of DIAS ANTIGOS of CML-FR took place between June 7th and 11th. Through this activity, 25 students of various instruments, aged between 6 and 16, had the opportunity to learn more about early instruments, experience different ensemble music formations, and learn about Renaissance and Baroque repertoire. In this activity, organized by the early music department, students also attended an educational concert featuring baroque violin, recorder, and harpsichord, learned some early dances, and took their first steps into the world of period-style improvisation. The student concert took place on June 10th at the Igreja Matriz de Loulé, and the intensive work culminated in an audition of improvisation and early dances in the CML-FR courtyard, concluding this enriching and motivating experience for all with a celebration.
