On April 6th, Teatro das Figuras was the stage for a memorable concert by the Youth Orchestra of Official Music Conservatories - OJ.COM. Under the baton of maestro Jan Wierzba, the participating young musicians treated the audience to a performance of artistic excellence, demonstrating talent and passion for music.
An intense and enriching internship
This remarkable result is the fruit of intense work carried out during the orchestra's intensive workshop, which took place between April 1st and 5th. For five days, the young musicians worked diligently under the guidance of conductor Jan Wierzba and a team of section coaches of recognized merit.
The internship provided the young people with the opportunity to develop their musical skills, to learn new techniques, and to work together in a more professional environment. It was a moment of great learning and growth, which contributed significantly to the success of the concert.
Cooperation between public conservatories and the support of various institutions
The success of the initiative was also possible thanks to the cooperation between the 11 conservatories involved in the project, and the tireless dedication of the organization of the 2024 edition, led by the Conservatório de Música de Loulé - Francisco Rosado. Management, section teachers, artistic committee, and non-teaching staff – all wholeheartedly committed themselves to the project, creating an environment conducive to the musical development of the young people.
The fundamental support from various institutions, public and private, who believed in the transformative potential of music in the lives of young people, was also very important for the success of the initiative.
