Conservatory Students on Summer Stage: An Unforgettable Experience of Music and Friendship!

The end of August was the setting for a truly transformative experience for a group of students from our Conservatory. Between August 23rd and 31st, these young musicians participated in the Summer Internship of the Festival Música Júnior (our partner), an event aimed at participants between 8 and 21 years old, which brought together 310 students from Portugal and Spain.

For nine intense days, our students immersed themselves in a musical environment, accompanied by a collective of 34 teachers and 3 conductors. They had the unique opportunity to join excellent ensembles, such as the Choir, the Youth Orchestra, or the Symphonic Orchestra, deepening their knowledge and skills. In addition to rehearsals, they actively participated in Workshops and MasterClasses, exploring new instrumental and vocal approaches and techniques.

Memorable Concerts in Ponte de Sôr and at the Aula Magna

The culmination of this musical journey was marked by two high-impact public performances: one in Ponte de Sôr and another on the prestigious stage of Aula Magna, in Lisbon. These concerts were moments of great emotion, where our students were able to demonstrate the fruit of all their hard work and dedication, sharing their passion for music with an enthusiastic audience.

The reports reaching us are unanimous: they were days of “much sharing, learning, and camaraderie”. For our young people, this was a unique opportunity for artistic and personal growth, to make new friends, and to inspire each other, consolidating their love for music.

The Conservatory Appreciates the Fundamental Support

At the Conservatory, we strongly encourage our students to participate in initiatives of this nature, as we believe they are enriching experiences that crucially complement their academic training.

We would like to express our profound gratitude to the Conservatory's Parents and Guardians Association, whose strong involvement was decisive for our students' participation in this event. Their tireless support is a fundamental pillar in the success of our projects and in the realization of our young people's dreams.

Similarly, we extend our gratitude to the Loulé City Council for their essential support in transporting the participants, a gesture that demonstrates the municipality's commitment to culture and the education of our young musicians.

Congratulations to all participants for their dedication and the excellent work developed! Your success is a source of great pride for the entire Conservatory community.
