CML-FR students at the 4th Algarve Young Musicians Meeting

Thirteen students from the Conservatório de Música de Loulé - Francisco Rosado (CML-FR) participated in an enriching musical internship, integrated into the Jovens Músicos do Algarve (JMA) project. This event corresponded to the 4th Edition of the Meeting of Specialized Music Education Schools of the Algarve. The organization of the project, which takes place in partnership with the various artistic education schools in the region, was this year in charge of the Conservatório Regional do Algarve Maria Campina (CRAMC), based in Faro.

The internship took place over the days of July 1, 2, and 3, 2026. During these three days of intensive work, the project focused on two central musical areas: Choir and Piano.

Throughout the event, the participants joined forces in various sectionals and tutti rehearsals, enhancing the work that had already been prepared by the various schools during the academic year. In the choral field, the piece chosen to represent the CML-FR was "This Little Light of Mine", arranged by Steve Milloy. In the keyboards section, the students performed an ensemble piece for two pianos, titled "Pianisten-Cocktail - Der Karneval der Tiere". Other choral works from partner schools were also shared, such as "Why We Sing", "Água", and "You'll Never Walk Alone".

The culmination of all this effort and dedication took place with the audition of the JMA 2026 Final Concert. The show took place at the Auditório Pedro Ruivo, on July 3rd, at 5:00 PM.

The Conservatório de Música de Loulé extends its warmest congratulations to all students involved for their dedication and excellent representation of our school. We also express our deepest gratitude to the organization and the teachers involved directly or indirectly in this initiative, specifically Tiago Horta, Laura Quaresma, and Ricardo Coelho, for the guidance provided throughout the entire process.
