Accordion students awarded at the 28th National Trophy / 9th Alcobaça International Accordion Competition
The , took place last weekend, May 17th and 18th, in the city of Alcobaça, with the participation of students from the accordion class of the Conservatório de Música de Loulé - Francisco Rosado. This competition has some unique specificities: 28th National Trophy/9th International Accordion Competition
  • A student with Portuguese Nationality, when participating in a category with one or two rounds according to the chosen category, is automatically competing for two prizes simultaneously: the National Trophy (where only Portuguese competitors are listed), and the International Competition, which includes all competitors in that category, whereas the latter can obviously only compete in the International Competition.
  • The scores required to achieve 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in the International Competition are slightly higher than the scores for the National Trophy, meaning the score of a student who wins 1st place in the National Trophy may not be sufficient to achieve the 1st prize in the International Competition.
Our students obtained the following results: CATEGORY A - BEGINNER 1:
  • Ian Leite: 1st place National Trophy and 1st place International Competition
CATEGORY E - YOUTH CONCERTO B.B:
  • Apolo Pereira: 1st place National Trophy and 2nd place International Competition
CATEGORY G - JUNIOR CONCERT
  • Solange Coelho: 4th place National Trophy and 4th place International Competition
CATEGORY QUARTET
  • Accordion Quartet (Clara Carmo; Apolo Pereira; Elias Ferreira; Solange Coelho): 2nd place National Trophy and 2nd place International Competition

Many congratulations to the students and Professor Vitor Mira! Keep up the good work!
