Logbook

Seventeen students from the Conservatório de Música de Loulé – Francisco Rosado had an enriching experience by participating in an Erasmus+ exchange at the Conservatorio Profesional de Sevilla – Francisco Guerrero, between March 22 and 26. Accompanied by three teachers, the young musicians joined an orchestral group from the Sevillian institution, forming a vibrant symphony orchestra.

The highlight of this mobility was the presentation of the joint work in a memorable concert, held on March 26. The performance demonstrated the dedication and talent of the students from both conservatories, culminating in a moment of celebration of music and international collaboration. In addition to the intense musical activity, the students had the opportunity to explore the city of Seville and interact with the local community, enriching their cultural experience.

In parallel, three teachers from our Conservatory participated in the Cultural Week of the Conservatório Profesional de Sevilla – Francisco Guerrero, which took place between March 24 and 28. The initiative provided a valuable opportunity for the faculty to learn about the diverse dynamics and activities of the Spanish school, promoting a fruitful exchange of pedagogical and cultural experiences.

This participation in the Erasmus+ program follows the International Erasmus+ Meeting for teachers, held at the Conservatório de Loulé in November 2024. This previous event underscores the institution's commitment to promoting internationalization and knowledge sharing in the field of music education.

The experience in Seville reinforces the commitment of the Conservatório de Música de Loulé – Francisco Rosado to provide its students and teachers with opportunities for artistic and professional growth, fostering openness to new cultures and teaching methodologies. The recent mobility to Seville will certainly leave positive marks on the journey of all involved, continuing the international cooperation work already underway.

Meanwhile, we are already working on the future! Our students will once again meet their Spanish colleagues who will be welcomed in Loulé and will join the Orchestra in the concert as part of Festival MED 2025. See you soon!
