Between March 5th and 8th, Professor Pedro Sá accompanied four students from the Conservatory to the V BOCHU ’26 Meeting, in Huesca, Spain. This internship allowed for a direct immersion in the work developed by prestigious institutions, such as the Professional Music Conservatories “Miguel Fleta” (Monzón), “Antonio Viñuales Gracia” (Huesca), and the one in Sabiñánigo. The interaction with over 250 students from different backgrounds reinforced the vital importance of these exchanges for the technical and artistic growth of our young musicians.
The experience was particularly enriching, as our students integrated and actively participated in the orchestras of the meeting. Playing side by side with so many other instrumentalists in a large-scale context was a unique opportunity for learning and artistic sharing. Witnessing the dedication and talent demonstrated during rehearsals and performances was inspiring, consolidating musical knowledge and fostering bonds of cooperation that will certainly be remembered with great fondness.
During the same period, Professor Bruno Carneiro carried out a mobility to the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Huesca – Antonio Viñuales Gracia, in Job Shadowing.
They returned with renewed enthusiasm for their daily work at the Conservatory, bringing new pedagogical and organizational perspectives gathered during this meeting in Aragon. The success of this initiative demonstrates that openness to the outside world and practical integration into international orchestral ensembles are fundamental pillars for the excellence of artistic education.
